Planner's Comments
 Another glorious Friston day! Thank you for all the positive comments about the courses and the map, the general consensus seemed to be that they were physical but enjoyable! The winning times were impressive too, I was expecting them to be a bit longer – I guess that shows how good you are all getting now! Leg 2 on Blue caused a lot of discussion about optimum route choices; it is always satisfying when that happens. When testing the course I found the fastest route was to run round to the East of the green block, it saved about 10% time-wise.
As ever, the distinctive trees provoked some discussion, mainly because they are small evergreens in a forest of tall trees. Should they be mapped as dots rather than circles? I chose circles so that they would stand out on the map without having to look too hard. Comments gratefully received on the website forum!
Finally a load of thanks go to Mike for helping to put out the final controls; Mike and Bob for map sales, Jaquie, Peter (and Tom I noticed too!) for registration and download; and to Ruth, Jane, John and Neil for helping with control collecting. Everything seemed to run very smoothly and I was last out of the car park at 2pm.
