Organisers’ report
 This was a joint effort between the two of us, with Jillian being the person with most work to do both before and on then on the day, as Michael had to go off and help with his cub pack during the event. He did have time to come back and have a run though.
The late change from Rewell Wood to Selhurst Park only proved to be a problem as regards toilet hire. The club’s insurers would not cover hired toilets delivered before the weekend and collected after the weekend, and the cost of delivery and collection on the day was prohibitive at over £300! Hence we made do with ‘scout’ toilets which were better than nothing at all.
With just two events rather than three events the computing should have been simpler – unfortunately splits were not available although they can be viewed on the website.
The weather was excellent and the views across to the Isle of Wight exceptionally clear. Pat provided some challenging courses and kept the competitors out of the worst of the undergrowth. However there were many extra extraction lanes where felling and thinning had been taking place.
None of the duties proved too onerous and we were cleared up shortly after the advertised closing time for the event.
